How to resize/photo for GATE 2016 Online application

This post explains how to optimize/resize photo, signature, eligibility certificate and category certificate for gate 2016 online application

How to resize using paint

1. Open the image in paint 

2. click resize option 

3. Input the recommended dimensions and apply.


Dimensions Recommended for photo, signature and documents:

Photo :  480*640 pixels size < 50 Kb

Signature : 560*160 pixels size< 50 Kb

Pdf documents: Size less than 300 kb

FOR PHOTO RESIZING  (Alternative)

Step 1 : visit www.freeonlinephotoeditor.com

Step 2 : upload your photo

Step 3 : select basic option in it. Select resize option

Step 4 : Type required pixels , uncheck (keep aspect ratio)

Step 5 : click apply changes

Step 6 : download ur edited photo (click file > save as jpg)

How to convert certificates into PDF file?

For this you should have Adobe Pdf (or any other pdf software) reader in computer. First reduce the size of the scanned community certificate and eligibility certificate  below 300kb. Now right click on the image and click convert into pdf.
